Twilight

It was a blind pick. Well, benernya sih ga buta-buta juga. Gue liat gambarnya di koran gitu lho (plus promosinya yang katanya film laris apa tuh ..). I was intrigued when I saw the book (lots in Best Seller section at Gramedia). Read the back cover, I thought this would be my kind of movie. The timing was just right: midnight show, only 5 minutes from home, with both of my sisters accompanied me without hesitation (tell ya that was a rare occassion indeed) .. the three of us, watching a chick flick .. it’s ladies night, pals!

My younger sister said the movie was so-so, overhyped. My eldest sister said “But the actor is handsome loo!”. I said .. hmm .. it was fun. I really like Kristen Stewart. She is absolutely adorable (and she can act!). The story is interesting nonetheless. (The baseball game sequence had managed to put me at the edge of my seat).

From what I’ve learned, everything that is adapted from a book has its disadvantage. If the movie adaptation seemed “incomplete”, or lack of some things that made it not-so-good .. let’s just read the book and make it “complete”. And why I left Robert Pattinson to this point (besides he was totally gorgeous as Cedric Diggory) .. in this movie, he is just not the right actor. He is too .. *thinking hard* .. I don’t know. Maybe it was his make-up, maybe it was his acting, maybe it’s because he’s too handsome without enough charisma and charm.

Footage:
Reading the book after seeing the movie, I can identify Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, the actress who plays Alice Cullen is also suitable in physical. But Edward Cullen is difficult and so perfect, I will pardon Robert Pattinson cause I think nobody, not a single young actor out there, can bring the character to live succesfully. We’ll see the progress though .. if.
